Who is Rob Gutro? SHORT BIO

Rob Gutro is a best-selling and award-winning author, paranormal investigator and medium with Inspired Ghost Tracking of Maryland. Since he was a teen, he could receive messages from ghosts or spirits (who have crossed over). As a scientist, he also provides some scientific explanations about how energy is the baseline for the afterlife and the medium that entities use to communicate.

In 2005, Rob's late puppy passed and enabled him to communicate with pets. That knowledge and inspired Rob to write his first book in hopes of bringing understanding and comfort to grieving pet parents. His books also explain the difference between a ghost and a spirit, and how they communicate with the living. His own father helped prove he was at his own wake and funeral. Through a spirit, Rob solved the mystery behind a man’s passing. He’s written about ghosts he’s met on vacation, and proved their identities.

Rob participates in private paranormal investigations, helps human ghosts cross over, and has provided countless messages from people or pets as ghosts or spirits. He even lived in a haunted house.

He provides pet readings for a small fee and he gives fundraising lectures for animal rescues to teach people how pet spirits communicate.

1) WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO SEE WHAT’S IN A READING? All of the books in my Pets and the Afterlife Series are filled with stories from readings I’ve done. They provide insight into what the pets tell me. All have been validated by their pet parents, who graciously allowed me to share them to bring other readers healing and understanding.

2) WHY ARE READINGS DONE BY EMAIL AND NOT PHONE? Readings are done by email. It takes me a lot of concentration and quiet to be able to connect to your pet so I cannot speak to another person while I am connecting. The readings are pretty long. Doing them by email also provides you a record so that you can look back on them.

3) WHERE CAN I FIND EXAMPLES OF YOUR READINGS? - They are in my Pets and the Afterlife books, 1,2, 3 and 4.

4) HOW DO READINGS GO?

I connect with a pet through their photo and knowing their name. They all usually come through with a bunch of things to say, and then I will ask them your questions.

NOTE: If you have various family members who want to be acknowledged, you have to ask about them. It's like asking a living person a question. If you don't ask, they won't volunteer the answers.

6) WHO VALIDATES THE READING? The validation comes from you. You know your pet and their habits.

7) YOU SEND ME QUESTIONS:

When I make your appointment I give a listing of steps to follow including some sample questions. You don’t need to ask questions if you don’t want to and I’ll just tell you what your pet tells me.

8) WHAT ABOUT FAVORITE THNGS? Please don't ask me for a dog or cat's favorite toy or memory because they often change, just as ours do, and they always have several of them. Further, they may not be the ones you're looking for. I've experienced this before and some people throw out the entire reading because they don't hear exactly what they want to hear.

How to Deal with Intense Grief/loss?

Our pets are like children to us because we raise them the same as human children, but they don't live as long. We need to keep that in mind. - If you are dealing with grief that is emotionally crippling, talk with a therapist. If you are suicidal, call 988, or go to a hospital or police station and tell them you are in crisis. Never drink alcohol, take drugs or harm yourself. Our pets want us to be happy, and often adopt another pet and give love. Spirits want us to live and enjoy life, and they will watch over and guide us.

There is NO charge to rescues and shelters. They just organize the event, provide a space (OR we can do it On-line as a "Live" event), collect the registration fees and host the event. So rescues advertise and charge for it (ARLNH and LRHS charged $20 per person, but you can charge what you feel is affordable), **If a rescue could cover a hotel, that would be appreciated, but not mandatory**

WHY I DO IT ON MY WEEKENDS

I do this to help people heal from their grief and to help animal rescues raise money. Fortunately, I have a good daytime job that enables me to pay for transportation to rescues on some weekends to do this.

How Accurate are your readings ?

A: As a medium (and a scientist), it's all about energy. Spirits are energy coupled with memories, personality and knowledge of the physical life they lived. Mediums connect to that energy through a photograph, and a pet parents' email serves as a connection to them.

How "accurate" the readings are, is really up to you because only you can make sense of what your dog, cat, horse, rabbit, etc. tells me.

If you're hesitant and doubtful, then I would suggest that you pick up one of my books, like "Pets and the Afterlife 3:Messages from Spirit Dogs" - to get a sense of things that I've received from dogs in spirit.

If you don't know what to expect, you shouldn't take a chance on a reading. It's important to know what to expect. But if you ask for a reading expecting a bad outcome, no matter what messages are provided, that's how you'll feel. You have to be in the right place mentally and emotionally to get one.

I've been doing this for over 12 years and only one person told me they didn't understand a reading (it turned out to be from a cat in my next reading - whose parent confirmed everything- the cat was very forceful and came through first!); and another person was disappointed that her dog didn't come through and tell me that he was her soulmate (which was suggested in the reading - but she didn't read it that way).
